With all the enthusiastic responses in the thread, you (Doug & Roger) must have missed my question. Allow me to ask it again, and copy the original post below.
Since the new special titles are to be released a week or so apart, why not simply announce them together (please)?

(original message)
If the two new releases are only a few days apart, can't they be announced together?
I'm not sure which solution is better in terms of marketing strategy.
One on Monday, one on Friday (for instance): you want the first one, but want to wait till Friday to buy both, but then you might miss, so you order it, or you wait and do miss it.
Both each day: financially not much of a difference, except for shipping.
For international orders, for instance, shipping is an issue, and I have seen on message boards I am not the only one who tries to balance the shipping costs by buying at least three CDs per order.
Otherwise, I might cheat a bit by adding a preorder that is to be released the week after, and simply ask to add the new special release-- but that does not exactly make things simpler for you.
Varèse do release their Club titles by batches of four or even five, after all.
If both of your new releases are so close, then, why not groupe the announcements together? Or why not wait before announcing the second one, so that everyone can feel better ordering "again" (tbough, psychologically, splitting a big order in two may trick you into thinking you've spent less ).
