That's a great Goldsmith story, Doug!

I guess the brilliant way he used the orchestra in Looney Tunes isn't 'novel' because he was following in Carl Stalling's footsteps? But what about The Edge a year later? I thought the low brass growls for the bear were pretty novel in a similar way to the 'elephant trumpeting' in TGatD...

Goldsmith seemed like he had an excellent sense of humor. That "Just play Rambo" story regarding missing action material on the original Congo album still brings a smile to my face. It must be a life highlight to have known him.

Thoroughly enjoying this new presentation. The film soundtrack has raw quality to it that I prefer to the polished album. Or should I say 'roar' quality to it! Fascinating the changes the composer made or had to make. I know many of these expansions reveal so much of what goes on behind the scenes of writing a score we thought we knew but this one in particular shows how patient and committed a composer has to be to a project. Especially after writing it once and then having to go back and still be creative.

Well done Intrada on another full on restoration of music by the legendary Jerry Goldsmith!

This is a truly amazing release. I've been listening to it almost constantly for the past week or so. Intrada is doing some really amazing work this year and, as of now, is way ahead of its competition (still waiting for Judge Dredd and Return to Oz).

I've been giving this release a lot of spin time, and I have to say, fantastic.

Really nice to hear the film mixes, which imho are better than the album mixes of the score.

I know I should do it way more often, but this time I really have to:

Dear Doug & Team, thank you so much for this absolutely wonderful and stunning release.
For years I've been waiting for this to happen but no matter how much I dreamed about it, I could have never envisioned it being so great.
Just listening to the original film tracks on my way to work, makes the day a better day.
And when work's over, it's right now the moments in my car I'm looking forward to the most.
(For some technical reasons I unfortunately currently can't hear music at home.)

In fact the music is so awesome that just knowing it's out there, makes me feel so much better - no joking.
Guess that's indeed one score for the lonely island ...

So thanks a hundred times for all the hard work you put into these releases and please do not stop doing these things!

A very happy customer

I know that there has been a lot of love expressed already for this release but just wanted to add my voice to the chorus. THANK YOU. I have never owned this score before, it has been on my wish list for a long time but I never managed to get a copy. Listening to the set for the first time just blew me away. The music is awesome, but its presentation deserves a lot of credit too. The amount of music crammed on these two cd's is fantastic. Bravo Intrada....Bravo.

Finally had a chance to get my claws into "TGATD" and both the score and sound are spectacular. I have to thank Intrada again for all these brilliant recordings/scores. Doug, Jeff and of course Roger .....
