Anyone explain why the film version of the Main Title was considered a bonus track and not the album opener?

Just adding my support for this terrific double header. I've wanted the albums of both scores for at least 25 years, and though they're not exactly a natural pairing, they make a surprisingly listenable duo of film-thriller minimalism.

I've even made it through the party source cues twice for Mackintosh Man, and I almost never do that.

If the samples don't appeal, so be it. But god help me, I miss this kind of music in movies!

I think Frankenheimer and company made the right decision going with the "non-chime" version of the main title, but it's great to hear this version for the first time. Thanks again to one and all at Intrada for gifting us with these two rarities. (And I never dreamed I'd have SEVEN DAYS in stereo.)

Looking forward to giving this disc a listen. It should be in my mailbox tomorrow along with a 2 cd package from Kritzerland.
