I have to side with Nick here, based on what's been posted.
One could say there was no need to make the "choice remarks" statement and that everybody is entitled to their own opinion, unless of course there was some kind of humor in it, like at FSM when a member says they don't like Goldsmith (which I've seen before), but baase dupon the breif past history mentioned here, I can't infer that.
But then that takes us down the path of, are we not allowed to voice our opinion if one of more members or a moderator, disagrees with it? Some people have remarkbly closed minds on certain things or people.
So that leaves me with only one logical conclusion, based on the past history which implies some kind of animosity, it would have been best to not make the comment at all and stir things up. I mean, I and other members could get in a world of permament by dredging up passed comments either here or at other boards.
Now, don't mistake me, if I had to list who I think are the top ten composers in film/TV scoring of ALL HISTORY, Jerry makes the cut. No other composer in my collection equels his in quantity owned. Some of the most moving music I know, is by him. But I can respect him for having that difference in opinion. I mean, clearly we'll have to take him out back and flog himand then tar 'n' feather him for it, but we can respect him.

I don't know what it is. Maybe he's just not listened to the good nes by the two composers and been lead astray by people who skip the better scores and say things like "Star Trek :Nemesis" is one of Jerry's best scores, and "Heartbeeps" is one of Williams' best scores, and missed classics like "Rudy" and "The Last Crusade". Maybe he truly does have very different taste and the composers do nothing for him.
Nick, is you had to make a short list, who would you say are your favorites? And best scores, respectively?
