INTRADA Announces Jerry Goldsmith's THE SHADOW

Fantastic news - another 'bullseye' from Intrada!

Out of interest, did anyone else who picked up a copy of 'One Little Indian' recognise a very early incarnation of 'The Shadow's "bouncing electronic figure" popping up as a refrain in the opening track 'Escort the Prisoner'? I think it's at about 2.37, on xylophone or a similar instrument. It made me smile when I first heard it

Of course, it's put to much greater use in this powerhouse from later in Mr Goldsmith's career ... I can't wait to hear this expanded treatment.

I hope the people at Intrada don't mind me asking, but is this release going to be officially offered on Amazon.com anytime soon like some other recent Special Collection titles? I have a large credit there (and nothing much other than soundtracks to use it with) in addition to Amazon Prime.

Just gave "The Shadow" a listen. powerful, thrilling and riveting music, with extraordinary action cues and a gorgeous love theme. Beautifully presented and recorded by Intrada. Masterful.

Did I love the score and sound ? You be the judge.

Just got my copy today. As a Goldsmith fanatic, I was very anxious to get this. It is one of my favorite later career Goldsmith scores and I was thrilled when Intrada announced the release.

And, it doesn't disappoint. Thank you to all the fine folks at Intrada that made this one possible. Love it! Gonna be one of my favorite releases of the year.

Speaking of Goldsmith, I was just listening through some other Goldsmith albums and was wondering if there's gonna ever be a chance to get a proper score release of The Lonely Guy?

Thank you so much for THE SHADOW - 2 CD. It was perhaps in 1994 an average score to some people. But I saw the movie in theater and was amazed by Goldsmith's score. 18 years later, Goldsmith's score is back in its full glory, thank to Intrada.

A reissue ? INTRADA KNOWS!
