All Paul Hertzog scores.
Plus lots of scores from the 80's, I have bought 2-3 copies of lots of them, just in case.

I'd probably have to say my favorite most valuable CD is
PHANTASM
the exclusive VCD47105 pressing
just because… :D

My second most is
THE SERPENT AND THE RAINBOW
primarily because of who I bought it from.
AND
that later this same wonderful individual bought my
DAWN OF THE DEAD Varèse VCD47106 from me.

I hope he still has it in his collection. ;)

Most valuable means different things to different collectors but I guess my prize would be a copy of our debut album for ISLANDS IN THE STREAM so many years back. Having just had lunch with Arthur Morton and Jerry Goldsmith, I presented my copy to them for signing. So what stands out? I had just complimented Morton on being one of the greatest orchestrators in the business. He said I was nuts. Upon getting a nice signature from Goldsmith, Morton followed by signing my record cover with a caption suggesting I get my ears checked!! Sadly both artists are no longer with us so I can't get a less goofy autograph.

Still, it's kinda fun to look at.

I've only been collecting for a few years, so I don't have a whole lot of valuable soundtracks in my collection. Ones I THINK are valuable are; Wolfen, Krull (SCSE Edition), The Land Before Time, Balto, Hook (LLL), and Eraser (LLL).

Rarely post and actually had to re-register. Got to chime in more often.

Well, most monetary value might be: Delerue's The French Revolution 2-disc from Disque Cinemusique or YSH promo or Morricone's TIme of Destiny - not completely sure. With crazy good fortune, I actually found Apollo 13 and Good Will Hunting promos at a used cd shop here in Toronto. These have large enjoyment value as well.

Personal enjoyment value would be: The Elmer Box, Amazing Stories (all volumes), Intrada Poltergeist, Alien, expanded Clash of the Titans, Varese The Fury, unreleased Elmer, and The Wonderful Country (just love this peppy Alex North score!). Oh! and all the expanded Star Treks. And Monsignior (never imagined that would see daylight). Okay, I could go on and on with many more faves by other composers, really.

What a topic like this really encourages is going back into the collection to check out much of the wonderful stuff.

Don't know about value but one of my favorite and most obscure recordings is a 1958 white label promotional EP of The Crimson Kimono composed by Harry Sukman for the film directed by Sam Fuller.

Personal value would be this recording...

As far as I know the first commercial release of Bernard Hermann's music. This is a hell of a recording to spin at 78 rpm on a cold December night in Ohio. In the liner notes of a 70's release of this broadcast writer Norman Corwin mentions this six record set from the 40's and says it's extremely hard to find with all six records as the 78's broke very easily, the damn things are like a flat piece of slate.

The recording also has a tune performed by Pete Seeger And The Almanac Singers. I bought this at some junkstore for next to nothing and really appreciate having it...
