I took a flyer on this, I'm glad I did!

Time was I couldn't stand synthesizers, was something of a knee-jerk, pain-in-the-neck purist about them. I'm still not wild when they're used when someone decided they didn't want to pay for a proper orchestra, but when they're used for their own qualities as they are here I enjoy the results very much. Not that they sound the same at all, but I'm enjoying "It" the same way I do Mark Snow's stuff for "X- Files" and Michael Hoenig's music for "Dark Skies", that sort of thing. The mixture of the electronic stuff with the sometimes plaintive orchestral pieces makes for a great listen - especially that solo trumpet that rears up every once in a while.

Today I received Richard Bellis' IT (along with Michael Kamen`s Renegades & Road House). However in less than three weeks I will meet Tommy Lee Wallace who is the director of this movie. Wallace will be attending the Scandinavian Science-Fiction, Game and Film Convention in Gothenburg, Sweden. As usual I will bring a soundtrack with me to get signed. Wonder what Mr. Wallace`s reaction will be when I give him this soundtrack to sign for me.

I was blown away by this release.
I listened to a previous release and found the Intrada version to be a breath of fresh air.
It's not just that it contains far more material than the previous release, but it's also laid out properly. What I mean is that the previous release blended one track into the next. However, the Intrada release makes certain that each track is completed before moving on to the next. I hope my poor wording is understood by at least some of you

I just realized my account did not work anymore, yet I watch and read at this discussion board every day. I just never felt I had anything to productive to add. With that said, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone at Intrada for IT. Everyone always talks about their grails but this one was mine. I honestly never thought I would see this come true and when it did, I was ecstatic. IT is a wonderful score and brings me back to times when I was kid and would get scared watching this movie. Lots of good memories from years ago. I am so sad to see it go out of print. Anyone on the fence should jump on this now. Again, thank you so much Intrada. The score means a lot to me.
