I support these kinds of initiatives to get titles released. The cost is still reasonable considering what you get.

Add me to the list!
Great to see an opportunity to have this score released!

+1 for me as well. The extra $$$ would be worth it for such an important Fielding score.

I'm buying. :) Whatever has to be done, do it. I always trust I'm in good hands with Intrada (and Fielding, for that matter). They are my favorite label, and I've always supported them 100% (so much that I refuse to join the FSM boards; my home is here).

Does this mean it won't be offered to movie music and SAE at wholesale rates?

You can count me in. Intrada has always done the right thing by Fielding. Let's go!

I would have no problem with paying $29.99 for a Fielding horror score, and I appreciate you going this route toward feeling us out about it rather than killing the deal altogether. More Fielding = Good. :D

HOWEVER, I'm sure you know you can expect all sorts of outraged screeching from those who weren't forewarned. These moaning minis wouldn't have bought the score for half that price, but you can be sure that they'll be typing impassioned speeches about The Principle Of The Thing and pounding the table while declaring that you have Torn Asunder the Sacred Trust Between Label And Sainted Customer with your Greed until they're blue in the face. For years afterward the incident will be darkly alluded to in hushed tones as "The 'Funeral Home' Fiasco." (It'll catch on particularly quickly due to the partial alliteration.) Indeed, your announcement of the this title and its SRP will be proclaimed as The Beginning Of The End Of All Soundtrack Collectordom In The World EVER, but I hope you proceed with it anyway 'cuz those of us who buy it will be made that much happier and in this uncertain world, that's no little thing.

But, to reiterate, for entirely selfish reasons I'm all for a $29.99 "Funeral Home". Bring it!

I just finished watching this film again in light of this announcement. I have to say I am more excited about this CD now than I was when I read this topic yesterday. I'll be waiting.

I'll pay it. Don't love paying it, but there are realities here, and projects like this are worth doing.

I'm actually amazed that CD prices have stayed so stable the last decade. I paid $19.95 in 2001 for Intrada's "The Conversation," but adjusting that for inflation it's more than $25 today. Yet Intrada CDs still (generally) cost $19.95. If this one costs me more, I'm still grateful that the Intrada CDs I'll buy before and afterward are a relative bargain.

I'm really happy several of you folks are already willing to support this project, assuming we proceed. The negative (a high AFM fee resulting in a high retail price) will hopefully be minimized by your knowing that the score is terrific, the audio quality from the 2" 24-track session masters stored in mint condition guarantees sensational audio, it's Fielding's final film score and... well, projects like this just need to be rescued. This was long considered a totally lost score until the Canadian film company located the complete session masters underneath an old theater they were associated with and - I am not making this up - sent one of their people to hand carry the rolls of 2" tape to my office here.

How can we tell them, after their sincere attempts to help us preserve this most precious of Fielding's output, that the project is a no go? With your support (and about 1180 more such supporters!) we can instead inform the AFM in Canada that it's a yes go!

Thank you.

This film is available on YouTube in a full length stream, but requires you to sign in.

Anyone interested in just hearing Fielding will hear 2 short pieces within the first 6 minutes, then another piece at around 11:00 (longer), and another at around 15:00 (almost as long).

Interesting, and worth saving up for the cd.

And if you want to sell more, how about giving it a high-falutin' name: "Platinum Series Limited Edition Cool People Only Release" or something. :)
