I'm a huge fan of Harryhausen's works and the scores that accompanied his films were excellent as well.

This is one of my favorites from Laurence Rosenthal and I always hoped for a complete version to replace the PEG release I have.

Thank you for this release. I can retire my PEG CD. I'm watching the film on Blu-Ray right now in anticipation of the CDs arrival! What a great year!

See, now THIS is how to do it. Entire score + alternates, even though the original album would have fit (though I wonder perhaps if it's because the first expansion...but still)

Certainly a very positive factor that tilts this toward the 'to buy' scale.

The two covers are for the first and the last page of the booklet.

Incredible release, to me CotT is the best score by Mr Rosenthal - and Intrada' release is just the best way to listen to it.

It's only just dawned on me after all these years,
that the left artwork, was done by The Hildebrandt Brothers,
who did this legendary artwork for STAR WARS:



The content of the CLASH poster, was the eventual giveaway,
as both posters contain: the hero and heroine together - who are also painted in a similar style,
and a large villain's face/head behind them

The choral cue in the sample sounds wonderful!

Looks like INTRADA sold out of their first 1,500 copies of CLASH, I know I ordered my copy as soon as I saw it posted. However I was sitting at my computer hitting the refresh button like a stalker! I had my order in by 6pm CST so I would think I got a hold of one of the stocked copies but usually I receive an e-mail before this time of day on my orders.

Unless the orders aren't filled in order that they are placed? At any rate I am excited. I can't decide on which cover art I like the most.

As Doug noted in his Comments on the main page "I always thought of it as one of Larry Rosenthal's finest. While we were editing the album, he pointed out to me that it was "a lot better than I remembered it being. It's pretty good". Needless to say, I told him that was quite an under statement."

Those types of tidbits are what make the releases really special, I love hearing some behind the scenes thoughts and musings. Makes a wait all the more worthwhile.

Great score!! Wow, incidentally, I was listening to my PEG release of CLASH OF THE TITANS yesterday and thought, well, I bet this gets an expanded release one of these days. What a coincidence.

Sorry to drag us back on topic, but this music sounds scrumptious! My favorite thing about all these reissues is the spine-juddering moment when you realize how much better the cleaned-up, remastered version you've just started playing sounds than what you were used to for... what, fifteen years? Many many thanks, guys! Happy happy!!
