Now that Paramount's gates are open I thought I'd bump this thread. It was fantastic to get Star Trek II and III complete from FSM but Star Trek V has *always* been the Trek score most in need of a complete release. I know Doug has been wanting to do it for many years and I wonder if Intrada snagged this one since Lukas recently posted that FSM isn't working on any other Trek (movie) scores at the moment.

TREK V is possibly my favorite of the Trek scores (it's a heckuva underrated FILM as well, IMHO). A real masterpiece. A complete version is, bar none, the #1 Goldsmith release I'd like to see.

Okay, first post here, so sorry for butting in

I believe this score absolutely deserves and expanded/complete release, as one of the best scores in the Star Trek franchise.

This is classic Goldsmith, and an absolute crowd-pleaser, thematically strong, beautifully written, and with plenty of action, mystery, warmth and fanfare.

Everything I love about Goldsmith and Star Trek music.

I was under the impression that LaLaLAnd was working on STAR TREK 5 AND STAR TREK-TMP.

I'd be happy too, but that's just a rumor only based on their new deal with Sony (which owns Star Treks I and V's album rights). However, FSM and Intrada *also* have deals with Sony and have also dealt with Paramount before, so either of them could do it as well! Personally I know Doug Fake has tried to get the rights to release this score complete before but Paramount said no (which is no longer the situation, obviously) -- maybe he snagged it in time for Intrada? In which case it'd be cool if he let Joe Sikoryak make it match with the FSM packaging for Star Treks II and III...

Joe's art design on II and III is soooo good. I'd love to see Intrada do them as well.
