Indeed. The moral implications are one thing, and possibly debatable, whether or not it is legal is pretty cut-and-dried. If you own the CD, you have a right to keep the music files, if you don't, you don't. It may not be as big of an issue with more mainstream music (where the RIAA might be a bit more interested; since when does enforcement equal either legality or morality anyway?), but we're over here at the fringes and every lost sale counts.

Either way, I think it's pretty rude to be openly admitting to, and then defending pirating on a film music label's message board. Very poor form.

Hey, here's a sequencing question!

Track #14 Billy and Predator (formerly track #16 Billy Stands Alone on the Varese CD)
No longer is there a pause in-between the descending fateful strings for Billy and the following horrifying crescendo where Dutch says "Get To The Choppah!" and escapes to the waterfall.

What was the reason for this re-edit?
Was that how Silvestri originally intended it to be sequenced?

Thanks to everyone for letting this topic wind all over the place and yet remain pretty even-keeled throughout. Any discussion from a group of soundtrack fans that covers the limited quantity issue, the odd decisions made by us labels, the morality of copying CDs and sales of same through secondary markets and whatnot is ripe for conflict.

You guys have come up with some fascinating points to ponder and nothing became offensive in the process. Wow! Is this a great community or is it just me showing off that eternally optimistic side again?

Anyway, my copy arrived, and it's stunningly clear and sounds perfect !!!

I love this release, very, very nicely remastered !!!
