Doug, I had always (incorrectly) thought that DeVol had composed the theme for Delphi Bureau, and MacKay had done the undescore duties. Thanks for setting me straight on this. And I think this was addressed here once before. I can't blame it on old age, so I guess I'll have to plead just plain forgetfullness on my part. It couldn't possibly be attributed to the second glass of wine I had after dinner

And I thought I had placed the reference to DeVols other scores on the subject line before I submitted the message last eve, but for some reason it didn't appear when submitted. My apologies. I would certainly like to see more of Mr. DeVol's work released. He seems to be in the Conti, Shire. and Hamlisch club. An excellent and very talented composer that is still under-represented on CD.

I seem to recall several songs in the first half hour or so - I began to think I was watching a musical. As for the poster - well, they had to sell that clinker somehow! In fact the poster is the best thing about the film.

I had the old lp sometime ago. The movie was released in early 1969 before our family moved back to the U.S late that summer and we mssed it. I believe it was Oscar nominated for SFX, I seem to remember clips shown from the movie in the 1970 Oscar telecast, but to this day I have never seen it.
