INTRADA Announces Max Steiner's THOSE CALLOWAYS

For those who missed this Great release by Intrada, BYU has just released their own version of Max Steiner's score "Those Calloways".

This is the very first time Disney opens their vaults to any other label than Intrada! Does that mean the end of the exclusivity on Disney titles ?

Not exclusivity by contract of course, but exclusivity by working exclusively with people they know and trust. Sorry, I don't remember any label releasing a Disney title from the vaults, other than you. I certainly remember Varèse releasing The Black Cauldron re-recording and The Great Mouse Detective back in the 80's, when they were currently being released in the theaters. Intrada had a similar agreement in the 90's, with the releases of Night Crossing, Honey I Blew Up the Kid, A Far Off Place and Homeward Bound. And I know RCA Victor was originally releasing Disney soundtracks in the 30's and 40's. But who else, other than Intrada and Disney themselves, had ever released a score from the Disney vaults ?

Was there really need for a re-release of this? There are so much Steiner scores unreleased!
