Not a bad way to round off 2012.
This just makes 2013 even more exciting

It's about time that the horrible existing album for Die Hard with a Vengeance gets supplanted, and for the book to be closed on Kamen's exciting scores for the series. I especially look forward to hearing the rejected material, and of course the brilliant renditions of "When Johnny Comes Marching Home" in optimal quality.

As for The Untouchables, this new release definitely has its merits despite the fact that the existing album presentation is really good.

I am really looking forward to The Untouchables! Question, will Die Hard With a Vengeance sell out quickly like the first Die Hard did? Or will it still be around after the holidays?

I must be slow (well, I actually think that I am), because just now I noticed that La-La Land posted track lists for the three 2-disc sets.

I really like what I'm seeing for Die Hard with a Vengeance. I was curious if the Lovin' Spoonful song would have been included even though it is widely available elsewhere. Sure enough, it opens the first disc just as I would have done it, because I'm sure its use in the intro is ingrained in many people's memories. Those La-La Land producers often think the same way I do.

Anyway, there's a whole lot of Kamen excellence here.

I just might have to get The Untouchables sooner rather than later after hearing the film mix samples.

And it is literally a dream come true to get an expanded Die Hard with a Vengeance that properly represents the score's wall-to-wall excitement and suspense.

MV said alll three are selling like "hotcakes", so I imagine they won't stick around for much longer.

I guess we'll need some other snack food since labor unions couldn't come to reality and let Hostess stay financially viable.

Selling like ... cupcakes? No.
Selling like ... muffins? Hell no.
Selling like ... tastycakes? Well, they don't appear to sell well at any store, but "Tastycake" just works in an audibly aesthetical way.

I tried "Selling like pork brains", but I just don't think anybody will bite.

I'm in love with this great score all over again. I really think this score makes better sense in film narrative sequence, and LLL's mastering job is a revelation, for a score I was already quite familiar with.

I gave my copy away to a friend who loves Ennio but had not heard this score. Today I went back to order myself a new copy and the shipping is estimated for early January, so i am going to assume this is a second pressing. It's great to see such a fantastic score getting a second lease on ife.
