As expected, this album is an exciting listen. Having seen the film a countless number of times, I cannot help but pin each and every cue to visuals of the film that I hold in my mind. One track I highly anticipated was the end credits excerpt of Beethoven's 9th (I've always liked Vaughn Monroe's rendition of "Let it Snow" segueing into this piece), and its audio quality is a lot better than I had imagined. Speaking of Beethoven's 9th, I had no idea that it was not Kamen's idea to integrate it into the score.

I am also really glad that the main title cue as it appears in the film starts off the album, despite its inherent differences from the rest of the score.

Aside from the lack of Horner's cue for Aliens, one thing that would have really put this album over the top is to include the cool trailer music that so many 80s action films shared but is most notable for its use with Die Hard. But, we at least got the bonus addition of "Roy Rogers Meets Beethoven's 9th" muzak.

This is one album that I'll be listening to many, many times.

I think the classical piece playing at the party might be,

Bach - Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 (Allegro Moderato)

Hmmm...
Interesting coincidence that the fantastic new 2CD DIE HARD suffers from the same affliction that ROAD HOUSE does.
It is missing about 5 minutes of music from the stereo mastertapes,
though DIE HARD's missing cues aren't that major,
ROAD HOUSE lacks that all-important climactic battle cue.

Here's hoping the Hamsters can prevail and find the final piece of the ROAD HOUSE.

Yup, sometimes a label has no choice but to go with an inferior source for some cues.

I would have no problem if Intrada had to go the same route with the one cue for Road House. Having the rest of the excellent score come from pristine master elements stored by MGM would more than make up for this one snag.

15.Let It Snow (Source) (CD2)
16.Going After John (CD1)
17.Have A Few Laughs/ Al Powell Approaches (CD1)
18.Under the Table (CD1)
19.Welcome to the Party (CD1)
20.TV Station (CD1) (Only the first 43secs are heard in the movie)

I hava`nt listened to it yet only samples and from that it seems better than the first one. I now own the first 2 and have the 3rd on order.
