I just listened to the samples and I must say I am a bit disappointed by the sound quality.

Don´t get me wrong, the curtain that was present in the old releases is gone, but I expected a lot more fine details and more resolution in the instruments. The whole mix sounds a bit compressed, very warm and soft to me. Is that a result of the kind of maximizer used? It doesn´t sound raw at all to my ears.

Since I trust in Intrada, I hope there was really only very minor processing involved.

Does the 24 track really sound like this? I almost cannot believe it. Let´s hope we can get more details on this.

Weird, "soft" is an adjective that would never come to my mind when describing the sound quality. To each his own.

As long as it sounds better than the Varese "Ghostbusters" mix, I'll be happy.

Fair enough. The percussion in question doesn't sound thunderous, but I feel that it does plenty to convey aggression without sounding bloated.

Maybe my hearing is very sensitive to lower frequencies, but I don't hear a problem with the low-end. I saw people make the same complaint about the main title in the Condorman release, yet I don't hear problems with the low-end there either. I guess it is more just a matter of differing expectations.
