Intrada Soundtrack Forum

It would be really great to have Williams' Earthquake in full, now that this Universal thing is out and about. Hmmm...

I was reading over Doug's responses to a lot of the discussion that bates around these boards, and I LOVE the interest in politics and business regarding the soundtrack releases just as much as the next score-natic, but when the fact that Doug is posting to calm waters even becomes tangible, I think it's time to stop questioning all that goes on.
My investment with Intrada is summed up like this:
I Am grateful for everything they release, anything they do to provide these releases, and what else they are going to do regarding future releases. That's all I can say or do with them. I can't change what they can or can't release, I can only offer positive words of support, suggestions, celebration and praise. I wish it was that simple for others.
I DO understand that it means something to us all, to know that something is amiss regarding what it takes to get the full releases of soundtracks we love, but as I stated earlier, if it's beyond our control, then that's it. There's nothing else we can really do about it. So don't let's hassle Doug, Roger, and all the rest of those top guys - let's enjoy what we have, and look forward to what's coming!!!

I for one am still looking out on the horizon for Something Wicked This Way Comes - rejected; Psycho II, Deadly Blessing, The Thing, and maybe even The Sugarland Express (fingers crossed on that one and P2.)

Scarface (1983) certainly has a relatively wide appeal. Not a single bit of the original score was released in the US (there's just inferior remixes of two themes performed by Moroder on the current CD). I am very interested in knowing whether Intrada has considered this title.

Either a Six Million Dollar Man collection (he composed 50 episodes), Ironside (over 60), or a sampler including bits from Istanbul Express, Money to Burn, The Alpha Caper, Columbo: The Greenhouse Jungle, Matt Lincoln, Chase, etc. He spent most of his scoring career at Universal, but the only issue is of an MGM film: Zigzag (FSM's release is as definitive as it gets). His other 2 features, done at Universal, were Death of a Gunfighter and Skullduggery. The former has a MOD-DVD release now, while if you pick up Count Basie's Afrique, the title track is recognizable as the march from Skullduggery. Lots of untouched gold here.

I would love to have Goldsmith's "The Red Pony" wonderful score and should be released, and any and all Goldsmith works from Unioversal.
