I have the last edition which received almost universal praise, but I'm hoping for a re-release at some point that will address the loud and distracting hiss that accompanies each entry of the whistler in the Main Title, even when played at relatively low levels. Surely that can be addressed and corrected with present technology? It's all the more frustrating because the older version has no such distraction, though generally that sound is not as good. Has anyone explained why this coming-and-going hiss is present in the Main Title? It would probably be less intrusive if it was present throughout the whole track rather than just when the whistler appears. I assume there must be some technical reason why this noise wasn't eradicated last time, but having paid a hugely inflated price to get this CD I'm more than disappointed with that key track. I must also say the rest is terrific, but that only makes the Main Title more disappointing. Can we have this otherwise-wonderful CD made available again, with the hiss issue fixed?
