Okay this a question for Doug or Roger, I recently watched the film over again and I noticed a difference in the Main Titles. The one used in the film had a little more synths and it omits Chuck Findley's trumpet solo section which starts from :50 and lasts till about 1:01 on the album. Was this an alternate version of the Main Title that was used or was the cue edited for timing? Because I played the album track against the movie starting from the Orion Pictures Logo at the very beginning till it's entirety as Kurt Russell walks into the newsroom and it plays perfectly. It almost seems like the cue was intended to start from the point I had started it at instead of the ominious storm clouds gathering where Schifrin's score begins. I honestly perfer the album version which is no doubt better than what ended up in the film but I was just curious about the differences.
