Having discovered he has his first solo album out and he also launched his official website (
www.cliffeidelman.com) offering chance to listen to many of his cues including some unreleased projects and amazing Wedding in the Night Garden piece, I realized how much his voice is missed probably by many people in current film industry.
So, is there any chance Intrada could release some of Cliff Eidelman's scores in the future, please? I mean especially his previously unreleased stuff like METEOR MAN or DELIRIOUS (both released through MGM) or expanded editions of MAGDALENE or CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS: THE DISCOVERY? (Columbus was recorded in Seattle, so no re-use fees involved and released through Warner Bros - which might be the major problem but I'm not sure)
There is a few more titles that would be just amazing but sadly are blocked by not co-operating studios like Paramount (Leap of Faith, Crazy People), Sony (My Girl 2) or Disney (Lizzie McGuire).
Also I've no idea how accessible Showtime (SEXUAL LIFE) or Columbia/Tri-Star (MONTANA) are.
I've learnt not to expect answers like "We're doing this or that" but rather general "masters lost/unavailable because it belongs to one of those nasty studios not willing to cooperate" or "Varese still owns rights to this one" would be good enough.
