Well, this hopefully comes as good news. Looks like we're on schedule with three new releases this coming Tuesday. As usual, we'll post them Monday evening about 5:15 our time. I know there's been a lot of movie music coming out lately so wallets and purses are probably wearing thin. And we're doing our part to keep it that way! (If nothing else, it gives you more stuff to put on your Christmas wish lists.)

Happily, we're also on target with a new batch of ALIEN CDs arriving at the same time. If you don't have one on back-order already, just add it to your choices from the new releases and we'll ship them all together.

Regarding those three new ones. Don't look for another ALIEN-caliber title in this batch. We can't knock it out of the ballpark every time. (Save that for January!) But we do have an intense actioner from the seventies, an old-fashioned orchestral show-piece set in ancient times plus an oft-requested thriller, all promising to keep you busy during the coming holidays!

News you like to hear. Virtually all orders for ALIEN placed up through yesterday (the 11th) have now been processed. Allow a few extra days for mailing, of course. Our three other new releases this week plus the pending holidays are keeping us - and our local post office - busy. While you're waiting for your own packages you can do some extra gift shopping for your friends and family!

Here's a different sort of heads up. Instead of something new coming in, sometime between the 26th and the 31st of December, we'll be doing inventory. Yep, that means counting everything we haven't sold. Blame the IRS. Anyway, on whatever day or two that happens, we'll be unable to process incoming orders. We'll post the exact days involved as soon as we sort it out. Which means when I figure out which hamsters will be willing to work during the holidays. If all else fails, there's still me and at least one of my kids. You probably won't be thinking about soundtracks right before New Year's Eve anyway. But we'll get our counting done as quickly as possible so you can start 2008 off with new tunes to play.

Unless I lose count and we have to start all over again.

It's getting really close to year's end. We'll be counting stuff over the next few days but we won't be processing orders until January 2. Feel free to order stuff and we'll mail it out next year. That sounds like a long time from now but it's actually just a few days away!

Lots of CDs wore the Intrada brand this last year, spanning more than five decades of great movie music: North's 2001; Rozsa's landmark SPELLBOUND, some Friedhofer classics, more AMAZING STORIES with John Williams in the spotlight, THE WIND AND THE LION, MONSIGNOR, THE LAST VALLEY, MONSTER SQUAD, HINDENBURG, MECHANIC, HARRY AND THE HENDERSONS... and ALIEN. Every frightening note of it. Thank you all for making that last one a resounding success for us.

Our slate for 2008 looks even more crowded. You keep asking for more Goldsmith, Williams, Barry, Broughton, Fielding and all those other guys so... we'll see what we can cook up!

Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, try to appreciate it has meaning to many people. Try to think peaceful thoughts. Which we should all do more often but - judging by the sadness and cruelty going on around the world - we don't. But let's try. It's one of the things I'm doing down here in Anaheim this week while enjoying Disneyland with my family. Sure, I've got my iPod close by but... family really does come first! (Now if I can just get my teenage daughter to agree!)
