Some years ago James Fitzpatrick gave us a wonderful new complete performance of Waxman's TARAS BULBA on his Tadlow label. While I don't claim that PRINCE VALIANT is quite up to the musical standard of the former, the richness and color of the orchestration has been so tantalizing (as evidenced in new recordings of suites, beginning with that conducted by Charles Gerhardt, and continued by Elmer Bernstein and others), a more comprehensive recording would undoubtedly be welcome. (I wouldn't mind a restoration of the original tracks either, especially as some damage was present in the FSM edition released almost a quarter of a century ago).
