Hi everybody, There is no afficial release of the complete score of the movie Highlander. I don't want queen's songs , I repeat, i don't want Queen's song; I just want the orchestral material wrote by kamen. will my favorite soundtrack label release the complete score? It would be the release of the century! Thanks! |

Sorry to tell you but Kamen's score does incorporate some of Queen's material (I Want To Live Forever is one such piece) within his score so any label would have to get their permission. Also, last checked the producers of the Highlander films and TV series were not too keen on releasing any music from them but that was maybe ten years ago so who knows now where that is. Varese had planned a re-recording of this score and The Die Hard Trilogy according to Robert Townson before Kamen passed away for this score with him conducting it but unfortunately due to his health and eventual passing, it didn't happen back in the early 2000's. |

Hi, thanks for your answer. So a release without Queen material?  "Who want to live forever" was orchestrated by kamen himself so maybe Queen could make an effort only for this tracks... It would be a tribute to michael."it's a kind of magic", "princes of the univers" and their version of "new york new york" could not appear in the original soundtrack, i don't care.  I dream of this for years now! This score is awesome. |

Hi I love this score it got a bit overshadowed by the music of Queen but deserves a release in its own right with a modern reconstruction and re recording |

Michael Kamen is one of the best film composers of all time who can forget his score for Robin Hood prince of thieves |
