Long before Tyler Bates scored the fifth season, James L. Venable composed the original four starting in 2001. Fans of the show will agree that the music was one of its great elements. Revisiting it, I wholeheartedly agree. Venable deftly mixes orchestral and electronic elements, an occasional oriental flair for Jack, and world elements whenever necessary. Of course, with four seasons, it may be a tall order.
