Though we've had A TRIBUTE TO JAMES DEAN (originally released just after the death of the actor, and containing excerpts from the above movies as well as GIANT by Dimitri Tionkin, conducted by Ray Heindorf, possibly original tracks?), an excellent 2-disc re-recording from 1993 comprehensively covering the Rosenman scores, conducted by William Motzing, and a single disc 1997 re-recording of highlights from the scores, conducted by John Adams, we've never had an official comprehensive release of the original tracks. Considering the fame of these scores, I assume the elements are not available for release on CD?

I remember reading somewhere they're lost. If true, that's too bad, I especially like East Of Eden.
