Since Waxwork Records has released some of my all time favorite film scores - but exclusively on vinyl (I have no interest in buying a record player) - I was thinking that perhaps Intrada and Waxwork could possibly consider allowing the former to release the latter's film scores on CD? I believe that this would prove to be a mutually beneficial arrangement - as Waxwork has already presumably worked a deal with the respective film studios to release some of the best scores ever for a variety of horror and thriller films - complete with awesome cover art! Intrada could simply adapt these very same film scores (with or without separate cover art) to its CD medium - which would most likely sell many more copies than the vinyl medium. Intrada and Waxwork are my two favorite film score labels. I would love to see them work together on a project like this! https://waxworkrecords.com/collections/vinyl |

A lot of those scores already have a CD release, though yes, some are vinyl only. I don't know the contractual terms, but I doubt Waxwork is blocking CD releases as those licensing conditions are usually different from that of vinyl. |

I would take a copy of C.H.U.D. & The Exterminator on CD for sure. |

I wondered if there was an inkling of a deal too since Waxwork just issued a complete MANHUNTER this month, but then I remembered Intrada ran it out/sold it out, so the license probably just reverted back to free agency... |

I believe I am correct in stating that Intrada released both FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 2 / FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 3 in 2017 as well as FRIDAY THE 13TH THE FINAL CHAPTER / FRIDAY THE 13TH PART V: A NEW BEGINNING in 2018 - both on CD - not long after Waxwork released what I think were identical scores - but on vinyl with different cover artwork. Intrada and Waxworks both released identical pairings of these four films as well (i.e., Part 2 and Part 3 together). I am not sure how getting the rights from the studio works and whether or not just one film score label receives the exclusive rights to it - but it did cross my mind that perhaps Intrada and Waxwork were already cooperating as even the track listings on these aforementioned releases are basically the same from my understanding. Intrada - PLEASE release ALL of Waxwork's film scores on CD if possible! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

No you're missing the point. You ask why they don't....the answer is because they don't. |
