This is certainly an overlooked item in the composer's canon, though hardly surprisingly that is has been overshadowed by THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR and ICE STATION ZEBRA (also from 1968). One has the impression that Legrand only got this commission because Neal Hefti was unavailable. I would imagine all that would be still available are the elements of the original LP program, so it's up to Sony Music Special Products I guess. |
