I have always felt that Intrada had great love for scores of the golden and silver age. Will Intrada try to be part of this new project announced by Universal or will you be locked out ? |

It looks as though it's La-La Land all the way with this project. And what amazing titles coming up! COLOSSUS: THE FORBIN PROJECT by Michel Colombier, THE PRISONER OF ZENDA by Henry Mancini, TWO MULES FOR SISTER SARA by Ennio Morricone and THE SENTINEL by Gil Melle, to name a few. (All much requested titles on this Suggestion Box.) |

That's fine. Do you have any love for the scores of Miklos Rozsa, Frank Skinner and Hans J.Salter famous composers at Universal during the "golden age"? |

There are acetates for Waxman's magnificent score for "Bride of Frankenstein" and also a few for "Invisible Ray". That would be a dream release! |

I know you're an audiophile but for example just listen to all the love and care that went into restoring all those Max Steiner acetates on BYU! Or "On Dangerous Ground" on FSM, Copland on Intrada - the list goes on... With modern mastering technology it's a joy to listen to these albums! ![]() |

I too hope that Intrada will be able to issue some Golden Age Universal CDs and some Silver Age too. I doubt LLL will issue any Salter and Skinner. The Rozsa film noir at Universal are fantastic. See what you can do Roger and Doug ...... ![]() |

I hope Ron Goodwin's "Frenzy" along with whatever Henry Mancini came up with before Hitchcock rejected his work and fired him. |

All I could think of are comedies (Animal House, Splitting Heirs, Cop and a Half), but then it hit me: Carter Burwell's The Jackal. In its unexpurgated form, one of his finest scores. A genuine pity that he a) hasn't been asked to write like this in the 21 years since or b) has probably been asked to do this kind of movie again and refused. |
