I do not know why I did not think of this sooner, but perhaps Intrada could release the music for the animated series,
G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero (1985 TV series). This was a half-hour American animated television series based on
the toyline from Hasbro and the comic book series from Marvel Comics. The cartoon had its beginnings with two
five-part mini-series in 1983 and 1984, then became a regular series that ran in syndication from 1985 to 1986.

I am quite sure that this release would prove to be highly popular with us Gen-X kids who grew up during the late
1970's and early to mid 1980's. Johnny Douglas, the composer for this series, composed and conducted music for
many television series, including the children's TV animation series Spider-Man, Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends,
Dungeons & Dragons, The Incredible Hulk, as well as The Transformers.

What do you all think?

I think Hasbro are a tough nut to crack. They don't care about little things like this. They care about the mega money they make from their toylines. MV Gerhard and Lukas have spoken about it on the FSM board.

Many of us Transformers fans are waiting with baited breath to see if Rob Walsh and Sony Records can pull off the purported soundtrack in 2017, featuring the music of Douglas and Walsh. Walsh has done his work and handed it to Sony Records, but... I'll believe it when I see it. If Sony has managed to negotiate a deal with Hasbro, great. This CD has been in development for a decade, however.

No one on this board wants these Hasbro scores more than me, but I've learnt that the majority of 80s tv cartoon scores getting CD releases is just impossible for one reason or another. It's a largely untouched era, sadly.
