Intrada Soundtrack Forum

One soundtrack that I’d love to see Intrada (or La-La Land, as they have released several cult TV soundtracks already) have a look at is Vladimir Cosma’s score for the animated French TV series ‘Les Mondes Engloutis’, or ‘Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea’ as it's known in English speaking territories. The show had quite a nice soundtrack, with atmospheric orchestral cues and a couple of bouncy synth pop songs performed by Mini-Star in the French version and Cook da Books (who worked with Cosma on several other soundtracks) in the English version (there were only a couple of songs written for the show excluding the theme song, but they got played regularly, at least once every episode or so). There was a soundtrack album released in 1985 (shown above) and an expanded CD release in 2002, but even though the CD contained more tracks than the LP, it was still missing some music that could certainly be released on a future edition. For example, while the CD included all the original French versions of the show’s songs, it only included one of the English songs, and as far as I’m aware the other English songs haven’t been released anywhere at all. Similarly, there are some of the lush orchestral cues that could be released too. The soundtrack was also included as part of the recent Vladimir Cosma boxset, but it used the regular CD tracklisting with no new extras, so it would be great if Intrada or La-La Land could give this great soundtrack the deluxe treatment.
