The DuckTales release is very exciting. It has reminded me that there are several Disney "classic" movies that have never had releases that I would look forward to. I have just watched these movies, and was reminded of the many beautiful score moments therein.

The Fox and the Hound - has many beautiful harmonica solos that i would love to hear without dialogue

The Rescuers - as has been written, this score has excellent moments, not the least of which include when Penny is in the well at Devil's Bayou, and how the music turns for the rescuing rodents. The crocodile's pipe organ scene would be a great "have"

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh - I have many copies of "Heffalumps and Woozles", but the standard version that Disney releases on their compilation albums is different than the movie version. Lots of catchy moments otherwise.

Robin Hood - Roger Miller's songs and George Bruns' scores are iconic. Think of the "football scene" vs. Sexton Mouse's organ.

The Sword in the Stone - Bruns' score was nominated for an Academy Award. The pike scene and the scenes in the kitchen have fantastic moments, as does the "heavenly choir" in the churchyard; and the songs are almost never heard.

The Adventures of Ichabod & Mr. Toad - Bing Crosby. Headless Horseman, and the chase after the party between the Horseman & Ichabod. But also Mr. Toad & the scenes in Toad Hall, plus the prison escape & Toad's assumed demise.

Fun & Fancy Free - The Bongo section has such great songs, and the scene with the beanstalk growing is a Disney classic.

Melody Time & Make Mine Music are wall to wall music that includes Willie the Whale Who Wants to Sing at the Met, a couple of Benny Goodman songs, Ethel Smith's organ acrobatics in Blame it on the Samba, Roy Rogers' Pecos Bill, and a couple of numbers from The Andrews Sisters, plus Jerry Colonna's Casey at the Bat. Even the opening numbers are great, and the interstitial cues.

Saludos Amigos & The Three Caballeros are built around cultural music; They were both nominated for Academy Awards for score. That should always elevate a score on the list (even though the Academy isn't infallible!)

A set with The Reluctant Dragon (the colour/paint scene, Clarence Nash & Florence Gill's duet, and the songs to The Reluctant Dragon sequence) and Victory Through Air Power (another Oscar nominated score, with a great sequence between the octopus and the eagle).

For newer releases, please finish Joel McNeely's Tinker Bell series, and consider Mark Watters' Doug's 1st Movie score.

A long list, and several repeats from other peoples' lists. Anything to help grease the wheels.

Finally, thanks for all the good work you do. You fill a valuable niche in the world.

Joel

I certainly will buy each of these titles if they're released! I'll also add two more Disney soundtracks on the wish list:

Song of the South (1946)
So Dear to My Heart (1949)

Both of them are great musical movies and have never been released on CD yet.

CD releases for The Fox and the Hound and Robin Hood would be a dream come true. :)
