I already brought up this topic earlier

and hoped that there was something going on for ROCKYs 40th anniversary this year. But no rumor, no sign regarding a complete or expanded score from the first ROCKY including original movie versions, which were a lot more Philly-Sound driven than the re-recorded studio album tracks, especially "Gonna Fly Now". Not even a lame remastered version of the already existing soundtrack was announced, which was reissued a lot of times. The last time in 2006 for the 30th anniversary. :?

Do we really have to wait for the 50th, 60th or 75th anniversary?

I second this request! I suggest a complete set with all the music by Bill Conti for the franchise!

I would buy ANY Rocky expanded soundtrack if released. I've heard rumblings that our beloved labels are interested, yet nothing has been released yet. I am guessing that the rights issues have proved to be difficult to obtain. I can't think of any other reason why we haven't seen anything since Intrada's spectacular Rocky IV.

Yeah, that release was a bomb and a true gift in may 2010. I remember that well. The rights discussion is going since over 10 years or longer. I have no idea how they do not come to an end now. They missed the 40th anniversary.
