Intrada Soundtrack Forum

The soundtrack is currently out of print, although I'm not sure how much of Trevor Jones' score is missing from it. Still, it's a Disney property and Intrada has a pipeline into the studio, so I thought I'd suggest it.

I would totally welcome this. Such a great and atmospheric score.
I'm not sure if there's any music missing on the original release but it always felt like a sparse album.
It would also be nice to see the original artwork used as almost all releases of Arachnophobia on home video etc removed the spider from the moon and also neglected to use the "Eight legs........." tagline.

There's music missing, yes.
The spider leaving the morgue, some short bits here and there and, most of all, the music for the final confrontation in the house. Also the mix of the main title is noticeably different in the film.

Most of the finale music was supposedly scored by Shirley Walker, including some adapting of Poltergeist's Escape From Suburbia (temp tracking?) and the final confrontation in the cellar.

Jones wrote the short "Cellar Theme" that was used in the trailer and used by Walker in the finale.

I'd love a complete version with the full music for the finale!

This was the very first soundtrack on the Hollywood Records label !

I wouldn't say no to an Intrada expanded treatment of this along with the original artwork cover.
