Okay, I know this one is a long shot, but I would love to have the complete FILM EDIT version of 'The Thing'. Ennio Morricone wrote a lot of music that was included on the original V.S. cd, but the music was all changed around for the film. Also, John Carpenter composed and performed at least four tracks that have only been released as covers by other people (Dominik Hauser, Larry Hopkins, etc.) I'm a Carpenter fanatic and would love to have the original versions of his tracks. |

Buysoundtrax.com released the expanded re-recording of the score a few years ago. http://buysoundtrax.stores.yahoo.net/thmufrmopiby.html I admit I prefer the film version closing credits but I like this release a lot. I think this is as close as we might get to the music from the film. |
