As anyone who's seen this 1970 sequel to IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT and has the re-recorded album knows, the latter was considerably reworked (as also happened with the album presentation of MACKENNA'S GOLD). Even though in my opinion the album worked extremely well as a listening experience, I'm sure there'd be interest in a release of the original tracks (coupled together of course with the album presentation). My hunch is that the original movie track elements are not available, and I'm sure someone will confirm this. |

Perpetualone, I suspect this UA soundtrack went out with all the other masters when Goldwyn sound studios (where UA did most of it's U.S. recording) went under. What a shame. |
