I'm taking a leap in the dark regarding this title, as the 1976 movie (starring Glenda Jackson) has eluded me. It should be of interest simply on the strength of the composer. (Incidentally I think it's the only time Bernstein collaborated with director Richard Fleischer.)

Richard Fleischer was the director of BLIND TERROR (U.S. Title : SEE NO EVIL) which Elmer Bernstein ended up scoring in 1971 after previous efforts by the great Andre Previn and by the British composer David Whittaker had been tossed. Bernstein's music still available (?) on a CD from Intrada.

Truth be told, I think that Dick Fleischer was the kind of professional director who didn't seem to involve himself too much when it came to the scoring of his films.

Thanks for the correction. Considering the length of Fleischer's career as director (almost four decades) I'm not surprised that he and Bernstein joined forces more than once. I knew of the rejected Previn music for SEE NO EVIL, but was unaware of David Whittaker's unused contribution.

Although Fleischer in some circles is regarded as a journeyman director, I think he's underrated (at least in his best efforts).
