Though Intrada released this almost 9 years ago, the source was the LP master. As with a number of MCA film music recordings recorded in the U.S. during the '70's, the sonics are very disappointing. (In fact I would say this is probably the most horrendous of all their orchestral film recordings). While there is little of the score not released on the LP program, can one hope for a mastering of the original tracks to yield better sound quality? (I don't know if the LP was a re-recording or the original tracks.) One particular bonus track which should be of interest is the opening credits, which was originally recorded with a solo soprano voice, but which part was later replaced by a trumpet as heard in the film.
