Intrada Soundtrack Forum

This is my favorite film of '91 and, to my knowledge, it has never had a soundtrack release of any kind. It's kind of short, though, and may need to be paired up with another H.Z. score.

Zimmer's score received an album through EMI with a very nice 40-minute presentation. It is long out of print, though, so another release would be justified.

One of Zimmer's best as an album experience, in my opinion.

It doesn't need to be paired with another score as it can be paired with the superior rejected score.

At least the inferior ( ) rejected score is easily available right now. Zimmer's score could stand on its own just fine, but it does make sense to include both if possible.

That release is missing about 10 minutes of music and is widely out of order; a definitive release would certainly be justified. And don't get me started on the other rejected score on that release...

The rejected score needs to be released properly so that older thing can be trashed.

If it needs to be combined with that terrible Zimmer score, so be it.

I enjoy Delerue's score very much, but Zimmer nailed the feel of the film. I know that it's popular to dislike all things Zimmer (especially at the FSM loony bin) while at the same time inexplicably liking garbage churned out by certain other current composers, but I've got to give credit where credit is due.

This score definitely needs a new release. Zimmer's score was perfect. Georges Delerue's rejected score is nice on it's own but I can't picture the movie with it. But I agree that Zimmer's original score needs a new release.
