Hey guys! Another extremely weird request, I know. But I AM an 80s / 90s kid after all, and this has been on my wantlist for quite some time, so please bear with me here...
This was a short-lived TV series from 1989, running for only one season but with 65 episodes, airing on weekdays for about a four to five month period. It's a combination of live action and animated sketches, with animated Super Mario skits airing Mondays to Thursdays, and Legend of Zelda skits airing on Fridays (I think there were 52 Mario episodes and 13 Zelda episodes total).
The music is composed by Shuki Levy, Haim Saban and Eric Allaman, according to IMDb - it uses quite a number of thematic arrangements of Koji Kondo's music from the video games, though it does feature some original material as well.
Here's an example, a cue that I've always been fond of (it starts at 2:26 and ends at 3:53):

The main company credits back in 1989 were DiC Enterprises, Nintendo and Saban International, though I'm unsure if it's the same situation now (Shout! Factory / Sony released the series on DVD back in 2006).
The show itself is obviously quite cheesy and oriented for younger audiences, but Doug and Roger, if you're reading this, would a project such as this be at all possible for Intrada? I'm not sure if it would appeal to film music fans, but the fanbase for the video games and the series is quite large, and I have no doubt in my mind that this would sell at least 3000 copies. It would be a dream come true for me to see this music finally released legitimately.
Please consider the music from this TV series for a future soundtrack release - and if you got this far, thank you for reading this entire post, it means quite a lot to me.
