Contemporary scores hardly ever do much for me, but this is a happy exception. At the moment there is a 40-minute program only available as a download. Can we do better than this? |

As a matter of fact, yes! There are actually four volumes of Silvestri's "Cosmos" music available for download on Amazon and iTunes, with about 168 minutes worth of music spread across them (But they are a little tricky to find - I had difficulty pulling them all up just now, but if you search for "Cosmos: A SpaceTime Odyssey", they should all show up in a group). If I remember correctly, Silvestri himself said that these four volumes encompassed everything he wrote and recorded for the show. This isn't to say I wouldn't welcome a nice physical release of all of this material, though... |

It would be nice it were a 3CD set though. Even if it's broken up as 1CD for the first one (as that's the score for the first episode) and 2CDs for the rest of it. Alas the whole thing doesn't quite fit onto 2CDs. I know that will never happen though because why would releases actually make sense? |

I made the mistake of looking on the Soundtrack Collector database. They are not available to me (and hopefully others) as I don't download music. I'm a Luddite who only consumes music in the form of a physical CD. |

All four volumes are listed on SoundtrackCollector http://soundtrackcollector.com/title/104200/ And yes, I was really hoping La-La Land or any of the specialty labels would release a 4CD box set of the 4 volumes on real discs, but if it didn't happen at the time I doubt it will happen now

I vaguely remember they said they were planning a CD release, but for like summer of last year (perhaps correlating with the BR/DVD release)? So yeah, I'm guessing it fell through or I'm remembering wrong. |
