I too hope they'll one day make us a release we can't refuse.

This trilogy made La-La Land's list of releases that we won't be seeing anytime soon from a specialist label. It was not clarified as to whether the issue is with rights, elements, or both.

As for the Beverly Hills Cop series, it was later said that the proposed film and TV series have hindered new soundtrack releases. Silly, but that's the way it is.

Similarly, Intrada cannot release the original Hawaii Five-O scores until things are cleared up with the new series that is running.

The same might also be true for Top Gun I guess since it's had a new film being conceived for quite some time.

Alien 3 is apparently an issue because the composer does not want it given a new release, which is at least understandable unlike the corporate barriers mentioned above.
