As we've had such a flurry of Legrand releases in the last few weeks, here's a fairly obscure 1974 title. As a coming-of-age movie (in a similar vein to SUMMER OF '42) it also evoked a particularly sensitive and poignant score from the composer. Maybe this could be coupled with another Warner Brothers score from the same period (which did make it it vinyl), ODE TO BILLY JOE. (Of course only one side of this album consisted of original Legrand music, the other was comprised of the Bobby Gentry ballad which inspired the movie.)
