The Shining (1980) soundtrack CD issue

Being as the soundtrack to this movie sells for prices in the triple digits these days, I think it would be nice if it were released on CD, remastered.

I think most if not all of us agree that the soundtrack was superb.

It's a bit surprising that Perseverance hasn't continued their series of Warner Brothers soundtracks re-issues. From the Kubrick perspective both THE SHINING and BARRY LYNDON are hard to find at affordable prices. Of course Wendy Carlos released her (almost entirely) unused score for the former some years ago.

I believe the insider talk was that there's some crippling rights issues with this one and that a label has been trying for years. It just goes to show that things are sometimes not nearly as simple as they may seem.

I would also like to see a complete score and songs to the movie. Even a two disc set. Disc 1: Complete score and songs. 2: The original album.
