It's been a dozen years since anybody has released any of Ron Goodwin's music. There are still several of his scores I'd love to have. Below are some of Goodwin's scores I'd love to see released. The Executioner Frenzy Candleshoe Children of the Damned Village of the Damned What does everybody else think? |

I am desperately awaiting more Goodwin releases. Over the last 10 or so years, FSM took care of his iconic war scores, Intrada delivered Magnificent Men and Sir Gawain, and most recently Quartet released Escape from the Dark. Every score you mentioned is great; it is especially nice to see mention of The Executioner. Another great Goodwin thriller score that's cut from the same cloth is Deadly Strangers. We can at least be confident that the fun Disney scores are possible thanks to the studio's excellent preservation history. Other scores from the studio not mentioned include One of Our Dinosaurs is Missing, Unidentified Flying Oddball and Diamonds on Wheels. All are fantastic and would be very fun on album. |

I miss FSM badly because they released a lot of great stuff. I fear that many of the masters of his scores were lost somehow. However I do still hope that some more Goodwin scores will get a release. |

Ron Goodwin is one of my favorite film composers so I would welcome anything that would be released. Some not mentioned that I would like to see released would be: Beauty and the Beast (T.V. score) (76) Those Daring Young Men in Their Jaunty Jalopies (69) Of Human Bondage (64) Sword of Lancelot (63) |

I too would welcome more Ron Goodwin scores. FSM & Intrada have provided us with some great recordings which I thought would never be released. I have previously suggested Those Daring Young Men In Their Jaunty Jalopies (or Monte Carlo Or Bust, as I remember it better!). I had often thought that the music from the Norman Wisdom film "The Early Bird" would be a great release. The first 11 minutes are a highlight. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cA8YouYCT5M but I am not aware of any scores from Rank Organisation films being issued. |
