It would be great to get a release for Goldenberg's Duel and some other Universal TV movie scores of his in a set. Duel would obviously be the headliner. There are lots of TV movies produced by Universal that I want but would probably be pissing in the wind by requesting them individually due to obscurity, although I like to think that Duel at least has enough of a reputation among fans to get a release along with other select Goldenberg TV movie works. It's kind of amazing how many scores the man has done, yet how little has been released. |

Nice idea! I know this one is next to impossible but great to dream about: "The Spielberg - Goldenberg Collaboration" - Duel - Columbo: Murder by the Book - The Name of the Game: Los Angeles 2017 (co-composed by Robert Prince) Special Bonus Suite: - Night Gallery: Make Me Laugh (Music by Robert Prince/directed by Steven Spielberg) |

The Spielberg connection would probably be a financially sound idea as people would likely buy it just because of his association if marketed correctly, as odd as that may sound. I hope the likeliness of the scores being in mono isn't part of what's stopping the release of these early Universal TV gems, because I have seen many collectors comment about putting off releases wholesale just because they aren't in stereo. It's a bit disconcerting to me that FSM's MGM TV Omnibus has been such a poor seller and subject to numerous heavy discounts over time. The scores on that set are top-notch and even presented in pristine stereo. Intrada thankfully released more of Then Came Bronson, but that was an easy decision since all of the transfers were done at the time the FSM album was being prepared. |

As I said a few years back, a BILLY GOLDENBERG AT UNIVERSAL multiple volume set would be a sale with me and a few friends in a New York (or Milwaukee) Minute. Lord, the amount of material in Goldenberg tv series work AND made-for-tv movies scores would be daunting to choose from. He remains the least recorded and most under-appreciated great composer from the 70's and 80's. I wonder if a one-off could be done of his terrific (non-Universal) score for the 1973 CBS TV movie, THE GLASS HOUSE with Alan Alda and Vic Morrow. I recall it being fairly spare but wonderfully atmospheric for this grim and gritty prison tale supposedly based on Truman Capote material. |

From Goldenberg's Warner Bros. output, I'd like to see some of his HARRY O work released. |
