How long will it be before Quincy Jones' exceptional score for the 1970 Jack Lemmon/Sandy Dennis film The Out Of Towners is released? Long overdue, should have happened in 1970. Great film! Saw it several times when I was a kid and always remembered that opening theme. Some prints had the airline scene at the end of the film edited out. |

I'm with you all the way. Unfortunately, this film is from the middle of the era for which next to no music elements exist at the Paramount vaults. Alternative methods of element acquisition also seem doubtful in this case. And you're right that this should have been released in some form back in the day; an EP at the very least. |
