Does anything of this score survive? If so...I think it should be released on CD. I know of a version recorded by the Royal New Zealand Orchestra (or something to that effect), but I don't think it would be that wonderful because I wasn't too impressed with the "El Cid" release they recorded. But I do believe this score deserves a decent release.

Yes I agree I would love to see an actual soundtrack release of this score perhaps coupled with Hugo Friedhofers' great score to Billy Wilders' "Ace in the Hole" (aka The Big Carnival).

Talking of Friedhofer I don't suppose any masters exist for his brilliant scores to "Joan of Arc" and "Vera Cruz"

I'd love for "Joan of Arc" to come out but at last I heard nothing survives, but that was a few years ago. If somebody wanted to really release it, they could probably take it from the original film stem. But that's a costly and time consuming process.
