I was thinking of steel drums by recently talking about Commando, so Cool Runnings came to mind. :P

More importantly, I wanted to give special mention for these big three early 90s sports related film scores by Hans Zimmer (and cohorts) that I would love to see released by Intrada.

Cool Runnings is Disney and the original album was released by Columbia Records, a licensing combination that I believe has not been undertaken but Intrada seems capable of doing anything. A League of Their Own is a Columbia Pictures film with the original album released by Columbia Records. Days of Thunder is Paramount and I believe none of the score has been officially released on a full album, so there are likely no original album rights to consider there.

Interesting. Just a couple of weeks after this thread was created La-La Land announced Days of Thunder for release next week. That's one down.

I'm hoping for Crimson Tide sometime in the near future.

I found this online:

The score for Crimson Tide was composed by Hans Zimmer, and employs a blend of orchestra, choir and synthesizer sounds. It includes additional music by Nick Glennie-Smith and the music was conducted by Harry Gregson-Williams. Within the score is the well-known naval hymn, "Eternal Father, Strong to Save". The score won a Grammy Award in 1996, and has been described by Zimmer as one of his personal favorites
