I love Henry Mancini's score to this hilarious Blake Edwards film. It was released on CD a while back which is not long out of print and sells for mega bucks. I'd like to suggest a re-release.

Na, I don't want the album, I want the full original score, so much great music. What I'd like most is a really great looking Blu-ray of the film. You never know, we may get both next year

Actually yes, I'd like the full score to. That's kinda what I meant. Mistake on my part for not being more specific. Whoops!

The original score elements should be (could be?) available as Intrada has already released (courtesy Warners) DAYS OF WINE AND ROSES. I understand this was one of Mancini's favourite scores. Interestingly there is a lengthy pastiche of THE PRISONER OF ZENDA in the movie, and Mancini subsequently scored the 1979 version of THE PRISONER OF ZENDA.

I see this great movie is being released on Blu-ray via the Warner Archive on 9/9. I wonder if Warner had a chance to check the original music tracks?

I have the strange feeling that if they ever release the complete original tracks rather than the LP we're going to discover the same 6 or 7 cues from the album more or less used over and over again throughout the movie...

For those who care, it looks like the original album will be released as part of Sony Music's upcoming Mancini set.

I just saw a page that someone linked to on the FSM forum for the Mancini set coming out this year. It is listed as a 9-disc set with two albums on each disc. A cursory glance shows that the 18 albums listed below are represented.

A release date of November 17th is mentioned for the UK along with a price that equals to about $60. Of course, nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
