I know this is a silly suggestion but I think John Barry's "The Deep" should be reissue. The original Intrada CD release sold out like a stack of hot cakes at a breakfast buffet. A reissue should come out, id say it'd be worth it. |

Either Doug or Roger explained at the time that that spectacular release required separate negotiations with Sony (who controlled the film recording) AND whichever entity now owns the Casablanca label's library (for the album) -- and that one of the two companies insisted on a firm ceiling of 3000 copies. So unless you hear otherwise, look for a used copy and don't expect a reissue. |

I recently traded a couple of rare titles for a copy of Intrada's The Deep due to a reissue being extremely unlikely. It was well worth it. As for Casablanca albums, those have been controlled by UMG. Intrada and La-La Land work with UMG quite a bit these days. I'm hoping that some label does a CD release of the lengthy Casablanca album for the 1980 film Foxes. |
